This instrument can be installed universally, but it shines particularly on all classic BMW 2-valve models. For models already factory-equipped with an electronic sensor (such as the BMW K-series), you can use the original speedometer pulse signal directly.

Important technical tip from our Sport-Evolution workshop:

When converting the BMW Boxer electrical system to an aftermarket instrument, the original charging indicator light is usually omitted. To ensure the alternator circuit remains intact and your battery is charged reliably, a replacement resistor must be installed. The safest and cleanest solution: use our instrument-specific wiring harnesses. The required resistor is already professionally integrated (plug-and-play).
