Conversion parts with TÜV
What a TÜV certificate means
A parts certificate confirms that a component has been tested and fits specific vehicles under the described conditions. After installation, a test engineer (e.g., TÜV, DEKRA, GTÜ) inspects the modification, after which it is entered into the vehicle registration documents. This is the difference compared to an ABE, for which no inspection is required.
In brief: TÜV certification
| Document | Parts certificate (TÜV) |
|---|---|
| Approval | Modification acceptance by a test engineer |
| Afterwards | Entry in the vehicle registration documents |
| Typical parts | Rear frames, rear conversion kits, triple clamps, handlebars, license plate holders |
| Difference to ABE | ABE does not require acceptance |
| Manufacturer | TÜV-Rheinland-certified company |
This is how the registration process works
- Install the part – exactly as described in the expert report.
- Appointment at the testing center with the expert report and vehicle documents.
- Acceptance of the modification by the test engineer.
- Entry in the documents at the vehicle registration office.
If you have multiple modifications, it is worth having them all approved in a single appointment.
Why Sport Evolution relies on expert reports
We are a TÜV Rheinland-certified company and develop parts with registration in mind from the very beginning. You can find all complete sets under rear conversion kits. If you do not want to organize the inspection yourself, you can get it all from a single source in our workshop.
FAQ
Questions about Registration
Can't find your question? Use our parts inquiry form – we will respond personally.
How much does the TÜV registration cost?
Das hängt von Prüfstelle und Umfang ab. Wir nennen bewusst keine Pauschale – frag am besten vorab bei deiner Prüfstelle nach.
Can I have multiple parts entered at the same time?
Yes, and that is usually cheaper. Bring all reports to the same appointment.
What is the difference between a TÜV certificate and an ABE?
Mit Gutachten ist eine Abnahme und Eintragung nötig. Mit ABE darfst du das Teil direkt fahren, du musst nur die ABE mitführen.
Will you handle the registration for me?
Ja, bei Umbauten in unserer Werkstatt kümmern wir uns um die Abnahme. Sprich uns über den Kontakt an.
