This Power Kit is an all-inclusive service. You bring your vehicle to us, we carry out the entire conversion, and tune the ignition system and carburetors on our dynamometer. An initial power measurement and a final measurement after the conversion are mandatory.
As already described in Power Kit No. 1, the first and most effective measure is the conversion to the SE 1070cc Torque Kit, which one should choose as a performance upgrade for their BMW 2-valve engine. However, to fully bring out the potential of this big bore kit, upgrading to an SE dual ignition is recommended. additional 9 hp and more than 13 Nm are mobilized. The result is a real powerhouse.
What does the dual ignition do? With a large combustion chamber diameter, the combustion process—from the initial spark to the complete ignition of the entire mixture—takes a relatively long time. By the time the highest combustion pressure is reached at top dead center of the piston, parts of the mixture have either burned uselessly or have not yet ignited. As a result, potential power and torque are left on the table, and exhaust values deteriorate (high HC values).

The chart shows the power and torque of a completely stock BMW R80, as well as a completely stock BMW R100. Compared to this are the power curves of a 2-valve engine that has been upgraded with our SE 1070cc Torque Kit and converted to dual ignition using the SE ignition system.
