The motoscope mini with ABE is an extremely small, digital motorcycle instrument. The LED display developed specifically for this purpose is unique in the instrument sector. 251 ultra-bright LEDs form a nearly borderless, excellently readable display area that can be used entirely to show display values. Only this innovative, sophisticated technology allows for a maximum display area while maintaining minimal housing dimensions.
Thanks to its very simple, elegant design and high-quality appearance, the motoscope mini fits almost any two-, three-, or four-wheeled vehicle. It can support the styling in an exposed position, but can also be integrated in an unobtrusive and 'clean' way - the mini makes everything possible!
The housing:
The high-quality aluminum housing is machined from a solid block and its surface is black anodized. The high-gloss polished version has its own appeal. The electronics are completely potted in the housing and are therefore immune to weather, water, dust, and vibration.
Display and functions:
The innovative dot matrix of 251 ultra-bright LEDs displays the RPM via a scalable, horizontal light band and all other functions as numerical values that are easy to read. The RPM can also be called up as a numerical value at the push of a button. To achieve optimal readability in darkness, sunlight, and twilight, the brightness of the LEDs is adjusted automatically. For the limit range of the permissible RPM ('red zone') or as a shift light function, an RPM value can be entered, upon exceeding which all LEDs flash simultaneously.
The highlight: the display of the motoscope mini can show numerical values not only from left to right, but also from top to bottom. Therefore, the instrument can also be mounted vertically!
Operation:
The included menu button or, for example, the headlight flasher button on the handlebar is used to switch between the displays. The standard display on the screen is the speed value. The other measured values can be brought onto the display if required by a short press of the button. Optionally, it can be set so that the display automatically returns to the speed value after a short time or that a specific display is permanently set. Presets or saved values naturally remain stored even without a power supply.
Mounting:
Due to its very small dimensions, the motoscope mini is easy to attach almost anywhere on any vehicle. Standing alone on the triple clamp or handlebar, in existing instrument panels, or embedded in the tank or fiberglass - the instrument can be integrated anywhere.
Connection and sensors:
Simple wiring as well as detailed installation and operating instructions make connecting the instrument possible even for users who have not previously dealt with vehicle electronics. The included stainless steel speedometer sensor is very small (M5/25 mm). With the 1.5 m long connection cable, it can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. Vehicles with an original mechanical speedometer drive can also be easily converted with it. The motoscope mini is compatible with many original speedometer sensors (reed contact and proximity sensors) from vehicle manufacturers. In this case, only connections need to be made, and the mechanical installation of a sensor becomes unnecessary. An intelligent 'teach function' allows for easy calibration of the speedometer - even on vehicles with sensors on the transmission.
Technical data and functions:

Attention: When converting the BMW 2-valve boxer electrical system to a different speedometer, the original charge indicator light is usually omitted or replaced by an LED.
In this case, a resistor must be installed instead of the lamp, otherwise the battery will not be charged.
This resistor can be used with all SE wiring harnesses as well as with the original wiring harness.

This resistor can be used with all SE wiring harnesses as well as with the original wiring harness.
Universal use on all BMW 2-valve boxer models; for speed pickup, our electronic speedometer sensor is recommended.
If the vehicle is equipped with an electronic speed sensor (BMW K-models), the speedometer can be used directly with the original electronic speedometer pulse.
