The Sport-Evolution BMW R80GS R100GS fork spring kit for 40 mm forks is the ideal solution if you want to noticeably improve the handling of your classic BMW GS. The original forks of the BMW R80GS and BMW R100GS often tend to have excessive rebound, bouncing, and an overall soft ride. Especially during sporty riding, on winding country roads, or when fully loaded, this can significantly impair stability and confidence in the front wheel.
The Sport-Evolution fork spring set is manufactured from high-quality, rust-resistant OTEVA 70 spring steel and is specially developed for BMW R80GS and R100GS models with a 40 mm stanchion diameter. The progressively wound fork springs offer greater reserves, reduce the excessive rebound tendency of the stock fork, and provide more control when braking, turning, and accelerating.
Thanks to the improved spring characteristics, the typical 'rubber cow' behavior of the BMW 2-valve models is significantly reduced. The motorcycle is more stable, responds more precisely, and provides a more direct feel for the road. Especially for BMW GS conversions, enduro projects, or high-quality Sport-Evolution custom bikes, a well-tuned suspension is a decisive factor for safety, ride comfort, and riding pleasure.
For individual tuning, you can choose the appropriate fork oil according to your desired firmness. SAE 5W is particularly suitable for touring and comfort-oriented riding. SAE 7.5W is the balanced all-rounder for road and everyday use. SAE 10W offers a sportier setup with firmer damping behavior.
