With our BMW R45 R65 cylinder head overhaul, you receive a comprehensive technical refurbishment of your cylinder heads for Twinshock and Monolever models. The work is carried out in our own engine department and combines precise machining with decades of experience in engine building for classic BMW 2-valve engines.
Each cylinder head is completely disassembled, industrially cleaned, and carefully inspected. Optionally, the surface can be ceramic blasted. Old valve guides and seat rings are removed, the base bores are precisely machined, and new components are installed with low stress through controlled thermal shrinking.
The valve guides are then honed to the final dimension. The valve seats are machined on our SERDI 100 with specially tuned seat contours. Finally, we check the tightness of the valves using a vacuum test. After installing the new valves and valve springs, you will receive your cylinder heads back ready for installation.
The overhaul is suitable for BMW R45 and R65 of the Twinshock and Monolever series and simultaneously includes the necessary components for the unleaded conversion.

Our experience covers the entire spectrum of classic BMW boxers, from the R45 and R65 to the R80 and R100.
Note: Surfacing of the cylinder and valve cover sealing surfaces can be ordered additionally. We recommend machining both surfaces to avoid potential problems caused by warping.
