Replacing the valve seat insert per piece

Replacing a valve seat insert is a complex process that requires a great deal of expertise and the appropriate tools and machinery. First, the old seat insert is precisely milled out and a new base bore is created. The new seat insert is mounted in a special way: cooling with liquid nitrogen to -196 °C and heating the cylinder head, the seat ring is shrunk into place for a precise fit, ensuring a perfect seal and a durable, secure fit. Then the seat angles of the new ring are precisely machined on our Serdi 100 contour milling machine to achieve the optimum shape and sealing effect. The result is an exact, long-lasting seat ring for maximum engine performance.

• Mill out the old seat ring
• Ream out the base bore
• Heat the cylinder head in the heating furnace
• Shrink the seat ring into place using liquid nitrogen (-196°C)
• Precisely machine the seat ring on the SERDI 100 contour milling machine

Note: In the case of multi-cylinder engines and simultaneous renewal and machining of the valve seat rings, possibly together with the valve guides, the price is reduced. Please obtain a separate quotation for this.
