Cylinder boring and honing for 3-cylinder engines
Boring and honing a cylinder is a precise process that requires the utmost accuracy and care. Boring enlarges the cylinder to the desired size and removes any signs of wear. Subsequently, honing produces a fine, cross-hatched surface that ensures optimal adhesion of the lubricating oil and a perfect seal of the piston rings. This process improves compression, reduces friction and extends the service life of the engine.
We bore all cylinders with parallel opposing faces.
The price is for boring and honing up to +1.00 mm. There is a surcharge of 50% for enlarging the bore by more than +1.00 mm, as this requires several passes.
