Universal use on all BMW 2-valve boxer models; our electronic speedometer sensor SE-60-20120-01-003 is recommended for speed measurement.
If the vehicle is equipped with an electronic speed sensor (BMW K-models), the speedometer can be used directly with the original electronic speedometer pulse.
Attention: When converting the BMW boxer 2-valve electrical system to a different speedometer, the original charging indicator light is usually removed or replaced by an LED.
In this case, a resistor must be installed in place of the bulb, otherwise the battery will not charge.
This resistor is already included in our instrument-specific wiring harnesses.
