With the BMW motorbike engine overhaul listed here, the engine of the BMW R80 is completely rebuilt, including cylinder and cylinder head and unleaded construction. The price always applies to the delivery of a dismantled engine without engine electrics.
The R80 engine is completely disassembled, cleaned and checked. All parts are precisely measured and evaluated. Based on our extensive experience in this area, we have put together a parts package that corresponds to the actual overhaul requirement in 90% of all cases. This means that you have the total cost of the BMW motorbike engine overhaul in one package and know what to expect. However, if more parts are required, we will of course discuss this with you before the start of the repair.
The cylinder heads are completely overhauled and converted to lead-free operation. The valve guides we use are fitted with shaft seals. This reduces oil consumption and raises the wear limit. This means longer running times and lower costs. This technology is state of the art today and is used in every engine. For the BMW two-valve engines, we are the only ones who use this technology, which can be considered a normal standard.
In addition to the technical fresh cell treatment, the entire engine is blasted with ceramic balls. This results in a velvety surface that looks very noble and is easy to clean. When blasting with ceramic beads, the surface is compacted and no open pores are created as with glass blasting. Glass-blasted surfaces are difficult to clean because dirt inevitably gets stuck in the pores.
